BACKGROUND

The Little Blue Smokehouse started as a small operation making smoked salmon and bacon. The love for the low and slow technique was initially a hobby, trying things out and catering for friends, who all loved it.

A little over 2 years ago we were given a shot at Brighton’s first street food market, Street Diner, where we showcased smoked meats, homemade slaws, sauces and pickles, and the Little Blue Smokehouse was born.

In our first year we expanded to appear at food festivals and catered weddings and private events. We applied to enter the British Street Food awards and won the South East heat.

At the 3 day final at the For the Love of Food festival in Leeds, we smoked non stop and slept very little, but we won the People’s Choice Award 2014. From there we are moving our business forward to the next exciting phase……….

ETHOS

We smoke, we pickle, we spice, we brine and we smoke. We smoke a lot. We smoke meat, we smoke fish and we smoke vegetables.
We care about how we smoke and we care about what we smoke.
We use the best produce we can, the best wood we can and the best charcoal we can.
We love food and want to enjoy it, food should be fun, food should be interesting and food should be respected.
We love what we do and we hope you do too.
